Calgarian twins Tegan and Sara have always held a special place in my heart. The music they create is always raw and entirely honest, making its relatable factor especially high. Each of the six albums they’ve released in a ten year span holds something to discover, ever after you think you’ve heard everything. Released back in 2002, If It Was You finishes with “Don’t Confess”. The melody is familiar, the beat mediocre, but the lyrics are poetry that seem to simplify the feelings that make life so complicated.
You won’t get better til you’re worse - could there be a bigger truth?
